This fantastic event has been going for over 100 years and gets better and better, so pack up your family take an early ferry and come to Waiheke for the best free day out in Auckland.
The members of Waiheke Rotary are excited to invite you, your family and friends to the 2012 Onetangi Beach Races. the funds you help raise enables our continued support for many community groups and worthwhile projects both on and off Waiheke Island.

21 January 2012 Wharf to Wharf Fun Run
Waiheke Island's fun event for runners and walkers of all abilities celebrates it's 20th anniversary in 2012. So if you're looking for a serious challenge or you're training for a marathon event, check out the 13k or the 25k courses, starting at Orapiu at the "bottom end", and climbing hills that provide a perfect platform for viewing the beauty of the Hauraki Gulf.

Saturdays from 7.30am to approx noon Ostend Market
Weekly market, rain or shine with both local and regional stalls. Lots of yummy local foods and produce, arts and crafts and more.
Also includes natural health including massage, reflexology, iridology, flower essences and more, local authors, secondhand books, all sorts of jewelry, beauty products, plants and decorations for the garden, bric a brac and collectibles, new and secondhand clothing and goods plus much, much more. Stalls both inside and out.
